Earth Angel

I was blessed with an angel in my life..

started out with one class…

moved onto band after school practices, games, parades, and competitions

then i realized this angel lived in walking distance from me…

long walks through the neighborhood talking about everything..

made a pact that we would marry eachother in 10 years if we didn’t find anybody else…funny i know…but we had 6 years left…

this angel had a smile that anyone could fall in love with….

a smile that was so genuine, it could sooth your soul….

this angel was sent to heaven for us to know…..

to be blessed in our soul with his presence…

God decided that his work on earth was done so he called him home…

he was too good of an angel to suffer with us down here on earth…

he is in a MUCH better place now, and he smiled on us today as the sun came shining down…

like he was saying, it’s is okay, he is in no pain now….nothing can harm him anymore, be happy for his return home…

he cried for us this morning when the rain fell, because he knows its us that need to be grieved for…we still have to carry on….he still lives in our hearts though…

this angel sent to us from heaven above…had a common name, but he was far from common…

Brian Stanton (1991-2012) was the greatest definition of ‘gentleman’, he still opened and closed doors, was respectful, made everybody’s day…he will truly be missed, this angel of ours…and though tears will fall down my face from knowing i won’t be graced with his presence anymore, I still smile because I had the honor of knowing him and being a good friend to him, as he was a better one to me, and I know that he is in a better place with no more suffering.
